Lampl, co-founder of Lampl Herbert Consultants, serves as President / CEO. Lampl manages all LHC activities, client projects, and provides consulting services related to public policy, regulatory matters, and communication. Lampl holds graduate degrees in cultural anthropology and strategic public relations from Florida State University (FSU) and George Washington University, respectively, and a doctorate in communication research from FSU. Lampl contributes to FSU courses related to geologic hazards and petroleum geology, providing lectures related to stakeholder issues and community engagement.

Tom is co-founder of Lampl Herbert Consultants, serves as Vice-President for Natural Resource Development. Herbert brings 53 years of experience in geoscience matters and provides consulting services in geology, resource development, and legislative/regulatory topics. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in geology and a doctorate in resource development from Michigan State University (MSU), emphasizing resource law and economics. He contributes to FSU courses related to geologic hazards and petroleum geology, providing lectures related to contemporary issues. He also serves as a mentor and provided informal professional job placement for undergraduate and graduate students in geology.
Herbert served as past chair of the Florida Professional Geology Board and as a member of numerous environmental policy groups. He is licensed as a professional geologist in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, New York and Alaska. The American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG) recognized Herbert’s contributions with the AIPG public service award in 2018.
Herbert’s current interests include the history of life on the planet, human resiliency in changing times; the supply chain of energy, water, food and safe living space for everyday life, reading, and mentoring folks.
Gregory Hitz is a Vice President with Lampl Herbert Consultants. He works as a professional geologist and manages natural resource projects with a focus on geologic and environmental topics. Over his career, Gregory has presented complex science and technical issues to private clients, public officials and citizen audiences.
Hitz holds an undergraduate degree in Geological Sciences from Cleveland State University, a graduate degree in Environmental Sciences from Florida A&M University, and a Master of Business Administration from Florida State University. He is currently completing a doctoral degree in Environmental Science from Florida A&M University. Dissertation research focused on metagenomic analysis of microbial communities following exposure to crude oils across northern Gulf of Mexico estuary ecosystems. Hitz provides guest lectures on various environmental topics at The School of the Environment at Florida A&M University and serves as Courtesy Faculty in the Department of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Science at Florida State University, contributing to courses on assessment of geologic hazards and petroleum geology.
Hitz’ person interests currently include dark sky photography, on-road and off-road motorcycles, and long-term performance of US-based equity markets.

Bo’s current interests include retrieval of tennis balls. Bo supports his alma mater, Chesapeake Bay Retriever Relief and Rescue.

Richard E. Givens, CPA, serves as an associate consultant with Lampl Herbert Consultants. Givens is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Governmental Financial Manager. He holds more than 40 years of experience in government and nonprofit accounting, program auditing, and contract compliance. Givens served as Vice President, Audit and Compliance, and as Senior Associate Controller at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) from 2011 to 2018. He held multiple positions, including Audit Coordinator, with the Florida Auditor General between 1989 and 2011. Givens has worked extensively in both the public and private sectors. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Matthew recently graduated from University of West Georgia with a B.S. in Geology. Matthew served as a research and teaching assistant for the UWG Geology Department. His undergraduate research focused on using measurements of cosmogenic radionuclides, like 10Be and 26Al, to calculate denudation rates in arid environments, such as Panamint Valley where he focused his research.
Worthan’s current interests include landscape and wildlife photography, wood carving, the geochemistry of precious metal deposits, cooking, and hiking.
