Matthew D. Worthan

Matthew Worthan is a Research Associate with Lampl Herbert consultants. He works as a Geologist-in-Training and manages GIS projects and data environments with a focus on geologic and environmental topics. Matthew recently graduated from University of West Georgia with a B.S. in Geology. Matthew served as a research and teaching assistant for the UWG Geology Department. His undergraduate research focused on using measurements of cosmogenic radionuclides, like 10Be and 26Al, to calculate denudation rates in arid environments, such as Panamint Valley where he focused his research.

Worthan’s current interests include landscape and wildlife photography, wood carving, the geochemistry of precious metal deposits, cooking, and hiking.
